The Cycra Powerflow Intake Shrouds are the next leap in performance technology for the Yamaha YZ450. These intake shrouds improve airflow to the airbox by as much as 40%. This eliminates throttle lag from the bottom and allows the engine to rev more freely. This is achieved by increasing the volume and utilizing our patented venturi-effect scoops that force air into the airbox.

The shrouds were extensively tested with the Factory Yamaha Race Team. Based on input from the racers, we slimmed down and simplified the shrouds to a sleek, one-piece design instead of the complex two-piece unit. The slimmer shrouds give riders a better feel of the bike with a smooth outer shell.

The simpler shrouds improve the ability to service the airbox with fewer fasteners and parts, while saving weight.

Even with all these updates, most aftermarket graphics will fit onto the shrouds with little or no modification. The smooth surface makes applying decals easier and is resistant to chipping.

Cycra's patented Powerflow technology dramatically reduces radiator, fuel tank, and engine head temperatures. Cycra's Powerflow scoops bypass the radiators and deliver cool air to the cylinder heads and fuel tank. The bypass airflow around the radiators uses the venturi effect, effectively drawing air from behind. This type of technology has only been used in aircraft and Formula 1 race cars.
