Wanneer moet ik mijn crossmotor zuiger vervangen?

Fabrikanten adviseren vervanging na 15 tot 50 motoruren voor een 2-takt, en na 40 tot 80 motoruren voor een 4-takt. Rijd je recreatief? Dan kun je deze uren vaak iets oprekken. Wacht echter nooit tot je blok begint te tikken of compressie verliest.
Wat zit er allemaal in een complete zuigerset?

Een complete zuigerkit bevat de zuiger, een nieuwe zuigerpen, de bijbehorende zuigerveren en een setje nieuwe borgclips (circlips). Je hebt hiermee in één klap de juiste onderdelen voor een verse montage.
Wat is een overmaat zuiger?

Slijt je cilinder, of laat je deze opnieuw honen? Dan heb je een iets grotere maat nodig dan de standaardmaat om de juiste compressie te behouden. Fabrikanten leveren zuigers vaak in stapjes (zoals A, B, of C-maten) die telkens een honderdste millimeter groter zijn.
