Thanks to Renthal's 36Tech™ handlebar standard and the patented Zarilium™ material, this handlebar is extremely strong while being as light as possible. The R-Works Fatbar36 is 36% lighter than our standard 28mm diameter Fatbar. How does the strength of the R-Works Fatbar36 compare to the existing 28mm Fatbar? Its strength matches that of Renthal's existing Fatbar. We used 36Tech™ and Zarilium® to retain strength while reducing weight. As a result, the Fatbar36 will react the same way in a crash as our current Fatbar28. Do the handlebars offer the same riding feel? Absolutely, we designed the tapered shape to have the same strength and flexibility characteristics as our current 28mm Fatbar handlebars. The only difference is the lower weight. Do standard controls fit? Yes, the handlebar tapers to 22mm at both ends, so it works with standard controls. Are different clamps required for the R-Works Fatbar36? Yes, 36Tech™ is a new 36mm clamp standard, and 22mm or 28mm clamps will not work with this handlebar.
